The Chiaroscuro Project, a mental health based nonprofit.

Our approach

We are a group of high school students who have addressed the issue of mental health within health care as an entirety and are driven to make a positive impact each and every day. We have allocated our company to gear things towards small acts of kindness to show patients we are there for them. This includes self care baskets, get well cards, brochures, and more!

Networking with local and national companies

Each and every day we work towards connecting with local and national companies in support with donations and allocating places to give our monthly donations to. For example, for the month of July, we recognized National Minority Mental Health awareness month, so we allocated donations to that patient population.

Hospitals, entities, and wellness centers we have partnered with so far:

  • Valley Health’s Winchester Medical Center of Winchester, Va

  • John’s Hopkins Children’s Hospital of Baltimore, Md

“Our goal is to make one small positive impact on the mental health of patients in hospitals. Recognizing the injustice of patient mental health in hospitals is one small step in changing the mental health epidemic as we know it today.”
