Get involved with promoting mental health in hospitals.

What we do

Self Care Bags

It all begins with an connecting with patients in all different situations. We provide these self care bags to connect with patients regardless if they have connection with the outside world or not. All patient mental health matters and we want to make all patients feel connected with throughout their hospital stay.

Positive Blog

This is the main way that we have decided to connect with all populations to allow for a more diffused impact of promotion of mental health. This allocates for the improvement of mental health or inspiration of promoting mental health for others through the form of our blog.

Get well cards

This is the main way that we connect with hospitals and entities that we can’t reach by a few hours of driving or by mailing extensive items. This is still a way in which we can connect with patients during their stays without the implementation of our other service options.

Brochures

This is a way in which we connect with patients that is similar to that of the get well cards. These can include but are not limited to cross word searches (mini), facts about the season or time period, interesting information about the area the hospital is in, and much more. This is one of our lesser implemented ideals, but was one of the more prominent ideals we utilized at the beginning of the nonprofit before we were blessed with the opportunity to use self care bags in greater amounts.

The Chiaroscuro Project works on monthly donations with national recognitions within hospitals. The month of July was Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, where donations were sent to both Johns Hopkins Pediatric Center and Chicanos Por La Causa in Arizona.
