January Donations - UVA Health’s Cancer Center

As we start the week off again, we have another update for the blog! As mentioned in recent blog updates, we worked with UVA Health’s Cancer Center to donate 20 self care bags for their patients. We headed up after school on Wednesday of last week and it was an amazing opportunity! We were able to see the health center and go inside to give the bags to staff. The bags had teddy bears, sleep masks, lotion, puzzle books, and fuzzy socks inside. We already plan to come back to UVA in March to work with their Cancer Center again, so stay tuned!

Thanks to everyone in our community who donated and continue to make donations possible monthly. We will include some photos below from our time at UVA and how the bags in the donation looked. As well, we updated our Instagram with pictures from our trip, so take a look at those, linked in our Instagram below. This was definitely a change of scenery in comparison to some of the city scapes we have seen with past donations, so it was truly an amazing experience. Stay tuned for events and donations coming up in the month of February and new updates relative to our organization as a whole. We hope you all have a great week and we will be back to update the blog next Monday!
